Endless forests, temperatures of 40° C and lots of kangaroos. Well thats not the only thing that makes Western Australia one of my favourite winter destinations. Within half an hour, just south of Perth, you have some of the best Freestyle-Spots lined up, one after the other. Our main spot this winter was Safety Bay. It’s one of my all time favourite spot for sure.

Perfect flatwater and mostly wind for 9 and 11m kites – It can’t really get better than that! There is different sections behind the sandbank that makes you find your perfect take off spot every day. Sometimes the wind is a few degrees off and you just move on to another part oft the sandbank to find the perfect flats! Or it is one of those perfect days (which happens a lot) and you start drawing lines through the whole spot! Starting all the way outside of the bank you can do around 5 tricks after each other until you are at the inside.

Just the perfect playground !
